Dr. Jie Gao
Dr. Jie Gao received his medical degree from China Medical University in 1985. He completed his first OB&GYN residency training at the second affiliated hospital of China Medical University in 1990. As an OB&GYN attending physician, Dr. Gao had actively practiced over ten years in China. He finished his second OB&GYN resident training in Grand Rapids Medical Education & Research Center for Health Professions, Michigan in June 2008. He has been practicing at the OB&GYN Center since August 2008. He became a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist in 2011. He is also trained in Robotic Surgery. Dr. Gao and his wife enjoy vegetable gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with their children.

Dr. Debra Acerenza
Dr. Debra Acerenza received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and has been practicing at the OB&GYN Center since July 2002. She became a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist in 2005. In her spare time, Dr. Acerenza and her husband enjoy spending time with their two boys, biking, and running.

Dawn R. Mossburg, CRNP
Dawn R. Mossburg, CRNP, completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 at University of Maryland. In 2003, she went on to obtain her Master of Science in the specialty of Women’s Health at the University of Maryland in Baltimore County. She joined the OB&GYN Center in 2004. Dawn went on to continue her education and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2015, taking a special interest in prenatal massage. She enjoys reading in her spare time.

Kendyl Cooper, PA-C
Kendyl graduated from Shenandoah University in Virginia with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. Since that time, she has served the Frederick community as a practicing physician assistant in the emergency room at Frederick Health Hospital. In 2016, she earned her Certificate of Added Qualifications in emergency medicine. Besides local medicine, Kendyl has an interest in international medical missions, and has participated in medical mission trips to Nicaragua, Peru, and Bangladesh. Kendyl developed a passion for women’s health while serving in an OB/GYN clinic in Bangladesh several years ago and is very excited to continue serving the Frederick community by transitioning to women’s health medicine. She looks forward to bringing her acute and critical care experience treating OB/GYN emergencies in women of all ages to an office setting. Kendyl joined the OB & GYN Center in January 2022. Kendyl enjoys teaching and has been a guest speaker at the International Christian Conference for Medical Professionals in Poltava, Ukraine. She also enjoys traveling to Lviv, Ukraine, where she teaches first aid and CPR to college students. Kendyl lives with her husband and baby daughter in Frederick, MD
